New Version Available – WordPress 3.6

The upgrade to WordPress 3.6 was completed on Tuesday morning during the ‘At-Risk’ service period. The upgrade suffered the same issue as the 3.5.2 update, requiring a manual upgrade to be completed. Hopefully the 3.6 update fixes this issue and future updates can be applied through the in-platform upgrade system.

WordPress 3.6 brings a new Compare Revisions feature (which will automatically display on the right side of every post under the ‘Publish’ widget) as well as an updated mutliple-user mode which brings a new Augmented Autosave feature and Post Locking capability. Also premiering in this release is the new WordPress HTML5 Media Player, which will start a shift away from content based in Flash player which is incompatible with most mobile devices.

The full feature-list for WordPress 3.6 can be read here, and the ChangeLog can be accessed here.
